If you are travelling alone with a cabin bag to a hotel near San Babila, take the M4: it costs a couple of euro and gets there in twelve minutes. Recommending a car for that journey would be dishonest, and we do not.
The case for a chauffeur at Linate is narrower and more specific. It is three suitcases and two children after a night flight that landed forty minutes late. It is an arrival into Porta Nuova or CityLife where the last mile from the metro is a walk with a case.
